Babies Babies Babies!
Reyna Zurita-Hernandez was a vendor at the Sandy Farmers market when Ken Funk discovered what was on her table: a variety of baby items the gift shop then lacked. He persuaded her to use the museum's gift shop to display what she had hand crafted with such care.
All of the baby clothing is made with 100% cotton, which is thought to be the best choice for a baby's delicate skin. When you pick up one of Reyna's baby bibs from the variety of colors and prints, they feel surprisingly rose-petal soft, unlike most clothing products in stores. The reason is because the inside of the bibs have either a soft terry cloth or a fleece-like fabric. It makes you just want to hug the baby you can imagine wearing it!
Besides bibs, Raina offers burp cloths, headbands, and teething rings in our gift shop. Her brand, Sophia's Fabric and Crafts, includes many other items of clothing sized from newborn to 18 months and more, plus one size-fits-all articles. She can make things to order in fabric designs, colors, and other special requests.
Shown here is the museum photo-op baby bear, named Ashley Bear by staff, modeling some of Reyna's collection.
