Mt Hood Dulcimers & Christmas Open House

As the Sandy Historical Museum prepares for its 2022 Christmas Open House, visitors may hear the sweet music of mountain dulcimers. The Mt. Hood Dulcimers, a group of friends who are museum society members and first met about fifteen years ago during an introductory dulcimer class offered at the Sandy Senior Center, have started to add holiday tunes to their usual mountain folk music get-togethers at the museum.

The Mt. Hood Dulcimers will enjoy strumming their unique instruments for visitors to the Sandy Historical Museum’s 2022 Holiday Open House on Friday, December 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 39345 Pioneer Blvd. The open house is being held in conjunction with Sandy’s annual tree lighting event from 6 to 7:30 in the adjacent square. There will be treats at the museum and holiday crafts upstairs for children.
