Holiday festivities

Sorry folks, but Carol Cohen called to say that storm damage necessitated cancellation of the light show in Meinig Park this evening. We will post if we learn of any changes to this information, and are sorry for any inconveniences this cancellation has caused.

Holiday Lights, Events Continue

The Holiday lights at 17670 Meinig Avenue continue every night from 4 to 9 p.m. through Monday, January 2, 2023. South of the museum at 29245 Pioneer Blvd.and behind City Hall, you can see the beautiful free light displays all along the park pathways.Projected, moving, multicolored, lights can confuse your pet used to chasing lasers. See some of the accompanying photos to have an idea of the fun and merriment.

Still to come Wednesday, December 28, are a walk through the park for ages 21+, and a Holiday Happy Hour from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy a live DJ and photo booth at the event. Hot buttered rum, hot toddies, and tamales will be available to purchase.

Letters to Santa, photo ops with the same, with animals and even the Grinch, Mexican folk dance performance, free Mexican hot chocolate, cookies, and churros, the Shortest Day Walkway, city department booths, crafts, and games, trolley riding and more have made ways to celebrate the holiday season for free in our own hometown area.
