Museum Event April 30 honors Lesowski family, owners of Tollgate Inn Restaurant and Bakery

Forty-three years ago “the two Mikes:” Mike Lesowski and Mike Lauderback, opened the Tollgate Inn Restaurant in April. A bakery and gift shop were added later and all are thriving at 38100 Hwy 26, Sandy. Starting with Mike, the Lesowski family have been in business at the Sandy site for fifty years since 1973.

At the museum’s special event April 30, the museum is honoring the Lesowski family and their contributions to the community. All three brothers: Mike, Ron, and Jim Lesowski, have raised their families and taught their children work ethics at “The Tollgate.” Current owners are Ron and Jim. We are eager to learn more on Sunday the 30th at 1 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room at the museum, 39345 Pioneer Blvd. Sandy.

Dan Bosserman and Deanna “Bananas” (Hart Hill) are working together on ideas for a Mountain Festival museum parade float featuring acting skills and reenactment of historical characters. They will present their ideas at the event. Light refreshments will be served.
