Carolee Carrara’s Art

Carolee Carrara’s art is very diverse in style - from illustration to fine art. It features subjects such as Mt. Hood, animals, and colorful florals. Her childrens’ picture books, fine art prints and lovely “frameable” greeting cards.

All are now available at the Sandy Historical Museum.

About Carolee:

Carolee Carrara was 75 years old, when during the quarantine she had an idea for a children’s storybook. Having no experience, she learned to draw, paint and illustrate by taking hundreds of YouTube tutorials. Then she mastered the technology of painting digitally using an ipad and Procreate art app. She wrote and self published her first children’s picture book- and five more by the end of 2021. “Perseverance” is the keyword Carolee says- and “practice, practice, practice!” Her books feature whimsical and colorful art with stories teaching good moral and family values.

Carolee is hosting a book signing at The Philip Foster Farm in Eagle Creek on Sunday, July 10th from 1-4 pm.

(She will also have her greeting cards and fine art prints available)

Carolee’s six books:

The Golden Promise

Dani’s Favorite Umbrella

We Are Beautiful Colors

There’s A Hamster In My Tuba

To Crow or Not to Crow

Little Jimmy Lee- Big or Little

Carolee's paintings are 8x10 mat framed quality art prints. Her art is being offered at the Sandy Historical Society Museum for 15.00 each, which is a reasonable price so people can enjoy her work.
